Here's a piece based on a theme that I worked out during some idle time on a cheap keyboard that was sitting on a table in our dining room some months ago (thus the name). I played with it some more on a couple of other occasions, came up with some things to do with it, and then after a few weeks sat down and quasi-improvised a run-through, with this as the single-take result. Like most of these pieces I probably ought to clean it up a little more, but who's got the time -- and it wouldn't very well be a musical blog entry if it was polished, would it?
